Wool Batting fill Products
Wool Fill
Comforters:
Keep
dry and covered. Freshen monthly by placing outside in sunlight and fresh
air for a few hours. Do not place in washing machine. Professional dry clean only. Look for environmentally friendly dry cleaners that do not use harsh chemical solvents.
Wool Fill Bed Pillows:
Dry
clean or professional clean only. Keep covered. Hand wash
shell with mild soap, if needed. Air dry. Expose to fresh air and
direct sunlight to freshen monthly. Do not place in washing machine.
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
Note: like any fill
material, wool will compress to approximately 1/2 it's original size, over time:
When you rest your head on the pillow, THAT is the compression the pillow will end up after a few months, up to a year or so, depending on use. The wool compresses beneath your head, and when NEW, bounces back. As it ages, there is less bounce, but the actual elevation of your head won't change all that much.
Wool can removed from pillows by the manufacturer, but if you are unhappy with the loft of your pillow, we would suggest exchanging it for a new pillow, with less fill (unused, unsoiled pillows only). Removing "a little" wool by hand is difficult due to the way the wool is batted, packed and rolled before being placed in pillow. We do not recommend customers attempt to remove wool batting, because warranty would be voided, and disqualify your wool-fill purchase under return policy. Also, Federal law prohibits resale of used bedding products. Comforters and toppers can also be refilled and re-carded by the manufacturer, after a few years, at 1/2 the cost of replacement.
