The Moses Ensemble, also called the natural
nursery, is a loving and natural introduction to sleeping for newborn infants to
this planet! The ensemble is made up of one palm-leaf Moses basket lined with a
pre-washed organic chambray ruffle liner and a firmly tufted organic cotton
futon inset.
Enormously popular with first-time mothers, this ensemble will allow you to have
your baby next to you, in the living room, in the kitchen, or in the garden. The
hooded basket offers shade and offers a sense of comfort to your baby. The
ruffle lines the inside of the basket and can help muffle out sounds and keep
out dust. The futon insert provides a comfortable and sturdy sleeping surface.

The basket is approximately 18" wide by 31" long and stands 9"
high and is oval in shape. It is woven from palm leaves by a democratically run
women's artisan co-op in the village of Santa Barbara in Honduras, Central
America. The handle allows easy transport of the basket without the infant
inside. Please note the handles are not adequate to support the weight of the
infant in the basket.
The ruffle liner extends to underneath the futon and also drapes 4" over
the lip as a decorative edging along the outer side of the basket. The futon
inset is 1.5" thick and constructed with all 100% certified organic cotton
materials. The cotton batting comes from Texas Organic Grower's Marketing Co-Op.
The fabric casing is an American organic 7.5oz cotton canvas.
