"Amish" refers to a religious group descended from Mennonites who arrived in America from Germany in the 19th Century. To this day, they live as simply as their forefathers, shunning modern culture and its amenities.
Amish families work hard, with meticulous attention to fine detail and craftsmanship. Their work is not about money, but rather living ethically and sustaining their families, communities and values.
Freedom, family, and a quality of life that caters to God is the Amish way of life.
Likewise, Amish organic bedding, pillows, mattresses, and even furniture, exude a peaceful energy that is not rushed or frantic, it is slow, steady and natural. The Amish will not be pushed, and will always produce the finest quality
organic bedding and furnishings, using their own time-honored methods.
Amish communities in the United States farm the old pre-WWII way, using only
organic methods, and craft their furnishings from native grown woods and
organically grown and produced materials.
We greatly admire the Amish for refusing to back down for the freedom of their
families and communities. We respect their privacy and will never publish
photographs, which is their wish.
If you decide to visit an Amish or Mennonite settlement, please remember to not bring video
cameras or take pictures of any kind. Stand back, watch, be quiet and gracious, and
you will learn how beautiful simplicity can be.
